Participatory Leadership in Organisational Change

How can participatory leadership be a constructive approach in processes of organisational change?

We know that change and development in our organizations are needed to sustain and grow, but also often that these processes are met with hesitance and some times resistance. However with a participatory approach experiences from our work the last 20+ years have proven that real engagement and empowerment by truly involving the collective intelligence and potential of the organisation do make a positive difference.

Stakeholder Engagement Matrix

When working with stakeholders it is a key success factor to be able to identify which stakeholders to engage, and furthermore how to engage to ensure the purpose and the outcome of the process. In our work with engaging stakeholders with a participatory approach we have surfaced a matrix that support the overview needed.

Meeting with Meaning

How do make sure all our meetings are meaningful and give impact?

In most organisations we could make a quick survey, and we will quite quickly find that we spend a significant of our work time in meetings AND that a majority of both staff and management do not find they are getting the full return of investment of time in meeting. We have been working with this paradox and via our concept turned around organisations culture of meetings into a more impactful setup.

Collective Mindmap Brainstorming

A collective mind map is a quick and simple way to create a shared overview of ideas and issues relevant to a particular subject or challenge.  The mind map always has a clear focus that can be captured in a “burning” question, e.g.  What ideas and issues do we see, that can make us overcome the challenge in front of us?

The Nature of Ideas

What is the potential of our ideas?

We get hundreds of ideas everyday, some of them we forget few seconds after they emerged, some never really leave us... some are useful and some not... But how can we use the potential of our ideas to something valuable?

Developing ideas as a process design

How can we create ideas when we need it?

Knowing that the pool of ideas we get is a resource, the potential of our collective ideas in an organisation is even a great potential we can tap into - but how do we do that in structures process delivering results?
